Simple folds

There are hundreds of different ways to fold tiles.  Using the same tile the end result of the medallion will look quite different depending on the fold used.  This site has a few basic folds but when you really want to try different folds, here is where you can go.  This site has a link to many websites that demonstrate different folds.  (The Circle of Crafters website is a fantastic site to visit.  Enter the forums only when you have hours of time on your hands since you will find that the people on this site are very generous in making and sharing their patterns and ideas.)

Folds for Different Shapes

  Lily's Website has good explanations

Have squares of paper handy at your computer so that you can click on the sites to try folding as you are looking at the screen.  Once you have the fold figured out keep the square so that you can remember how you did the fold.  As mentioned above keeping a book with the instructions is a good idea, once you  have learned a fold.

In some of the Dollarama dollar stores in the scrapbook section you will find tea bag folding paper kits with instructions.  The paper and tiles in these kits aren't really special but the instructions are well worth the price.

There are books available on tea bag folding as well.  Here are a few.
