Using Plain Coloured Paper

Children love to fold but often get frustrated if patterns don't match exactly.  I have found that teaching children using plain coloured paper doing simple folds to start often works best.  Bright colours are a big hit and they can mix and match to make rainbow medallions.

Corner Punches

Another fun thing to do is use corner punches and make punched medallions using two colours of paper.

Round Punch

This card was made by Pat Donalson.  Her husband was using the computer/printer and she wanted to make a card so she used a round punch with plain coloured paper and came up with this beautiful card.

Spinner Cards

These are always popular with the younger generation and the plain colours really show well when they spin.

Punches

Ordinary punches can be used to advantage on simple kite folds.  The knife, fork and spoon are added to a simple dinner invitation.

Printed Colours

This card is cleverly made by Carolyn Dickenson.  What she did was make my circles in 'word' then she went to the colour palette and selected fillers for each tile.

Christmas snowflake decorations

Folded teabag medallions using a variation of the square fold, my matches and petal fold and white paper.  I punched small flowers out of white cardstock to add.
